Job purpose
You will assist the Financial Controller with the completion of the day to day operations of the business.

Duties and responsibilities
- Invoicing - log and generate client and contractor sales/purchase invoices on Xero (accounting software).
- Financial Reporting (Credit Control, Debtor Day Analysis, Insurance Liability, GP and KPIs).
- Credit control - communicate with clients by phone and email regarding overdue sales invoices and send monthly statements.
- Bank reconciliations
- Liaise with freelancers and clients on payment and invoicing enquiries
- Coordinate with operations manager on contract compliance process
- Maintain master Excel of job history database, compliance, GP, holiday calendar and commission calculations.
- Publish weekly GP reports generated from Excel master tracker
- Assist in producing monthly management accounts pack (ideally be able to produce pack by themselves)
- Help with submission of VAT return (quarterly), EC Sales list (quarterly), Employer Intermediary report (quarterly) - (ideally be able to produce by themselves)
- Assist with monthly payroll and NEST pension contributions
- Monitoring client credit limit usage and applying for new limits
- Update cashflow update (weekly)
- Taxation - involvement with:
- Norway advanced tax return and payment (every 2 months)
- Company tax compliance assessments (i.e. strategic assessment of our exposure to international and UK tax) providing recommendations alongside current FC
- Answer all tax queries for freelancers/clients (can consult with FC/CFO)

Qualifications / Attributes
- Qualified/part-qualified management accountant or accounting technician preferable
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Confident and polite phone manner
- Very strong Microsoft Excel skills essential and comfort using complex formulas and functions
- Pro-active, dedicated and honest - ACA/ACCA qualified a bonus
