This company is a leading provider of telecoms support services to its' blue chip customer base which spans the telecoms, public sector and corporate sectors. Their service offering includes repair, logistics management and network design, build and maintenance and with recent contract wins is set for a period of significant growth.

They have recently been acquired by the world's leading telecoms asset management specialist, which has led to the creation of a new role of Financial Manager/Controller within the group. This role will be responsible for the Finance function on a day to day basis, with support from and reporting into the Group, headquartered in South Wales.

Responsibilities include but not limited too:
- Oversee and generate the company accounts.
- Lead the month and year end process in compliance with statutory regulations
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Providing routine and ad hoc accounting information, enabling the Group to measure financial performance of the subsidiary and make informed decisions on future plans/forecasts.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and manage the use of working capital in order to maximise return on cash and resources.
- Supporting and advising Internal department on the financial implications of decisions, including but not limited to pricing and cost reviews.
- Support Bids by preparing financial information.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Ownership of audits and VAT submissions
- Financial administration including ONS reporting
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Assist the Group CFO is developing budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
- Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information

Skills requirements

- Experience of working in a Financial Manager/Controller role and managing a team.
- Degree educated, with a Qualification as an ACMA / ACCA / ACA (fully qualified) (desirable)
- Experience in a similar industry (desirable).
- Highly IT literate including advanced Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Adherence to deadlines, and the ability to work under the pressure of month end and year end deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving and investigative approach.
- Experience of SAGE Line 1000/X3 (desirable).
