A contract (3 months maybe more) opportunity for an Agile Coach (Interim) has arisen with the local authorities in Truro.

Cornwall Council IT department is undergoing a phased transformation from a traditional project delivery environment to an Agile delivery model.
The future we are creating will include autonomous interacting product delivery teams and we are seeking an experienced, talented and ambitious Agile Coach to shape our teams and accelerate our journey!
This is a critical role and will be responsible for simultaneously guiding the agile transition from the 'bottom up' and from the 'top down' with enthusiasm and passion.

Close liaison with IT management to perform a benchmark assessment of Agile Maturity. This will involve interviewing customers, stakeholders and team members. The findings will then feed into the IT Transformation strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ad-hoc coaching of teams to ensure team charters and team policies such as 'Definition of Ready', 'Definition of Done', 'Work in progress' limits and 'Pull criteria' are implemented correctly and that team Scrum and Kanban boards are visible to all and 'set up for success'.

Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ Years in an Agile Coach, Scrum Master or Agile PM role.
  • Strong soft skills including communication, facilitation, situational awareness and conflict resolution.
  • Industry specific training such as Scrum Master Certification (PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM II, Certified SAFe Scrum Master), Agile Coach certification and training such as 'Leading SAFe'.
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of a range of Agile tools such as Jira, LeanKit, Rally, Trello, Microsoft Teams.
  • Basic DBS.

Hours of work are 9am till 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
