An opportunity exists to join a highly successful, multi-site Manufacturing company as a Finance Business Partner.

The responsibilities of the role include:
  • Being a key member of the Site Management Team - Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers and their teams across two sites.
  • Insight - Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance. Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies
  • Influencing decision making - You'll get involved with new initiatives, investment appraisals, investigate the feasibility of new revenue streams and generally offer financial support to commercial decision-makers. A portion of your work will be project-based, looking at specific client pitches and business strategies.
  • Core financial reporting skills - The role is also responsible for maintaining strong financial reporting and control. You will be expected to have an understanding of month end processes, balance sheet and working capital control. Whilst you will be led and supported by a central Finance team, you will maintain some responsibility for day to day financial processing including elements of AP, AR & general ledger control.
  • Communication and business partnering - To be successful, you will need to have the ability to communicate with and explain financial concepts to non-finance people, be able to influence key decision makers and to think long-term.
  • Financial monitoring and control - Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered

Skills & Experience
  • A part qualified or qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of business partnering Senior Management would be preferred.
  • Finance Systems experience (SAP preferred)

You must be self-sufficient and have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

This is very much a strategic role. You must be able to apply your financial analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and to use them to influence a broad range of commercial issues. To achieve this you will need a strong set of 'soft' skills, including strong relationship building, negotiation & presentation.
