We, at The Shared Learning Trust, are a unique family of 5 academies across Luton and Central Bedfordshire and we are currently looking to appoint new trustees and governors for our board and local governing bodies.

Our trust vision is to provide exceptional opportunities for all children and young adults that attend our academies and therefore we are looking to recruit local professionals who would like to get involved with their communities and share their expertise and knowledge to the future generation.

The role of a trustee or governor is extremely valuable to the life and development of an academy. They are fundamental in ensuring the academies are the best they can be.

Whilst there is no payment for the role of trustee or governor, there is an immense satisfaction to be gained by contributing to the education of thousands of young people in our community. Here at The Shared Learning Trust, we greatly appreciate the time given by trustees and governors, and we are sure that the role is found to be challenging but rewarding.

The commitment would be to attend two meetings per term plus one academy visit. Additionally, trustees and governors also receive invitations to all events run by the academies.
