Claims SIU First Party Administrator


Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum

Our large client based in Tonbridge are looking for a Claims Specialist Investigation Unit First Party Administrator to join their rapidly growing business.

Within this role, you will be assisting the Claims Specialist Investigation team in efficiently executing tasks with the claims administration system reduce fraud risk, limit indemnity spent and continue providing the highest standard of customer service. Working as part of the Specialist Investigation Unit, your role will involve reviewing Theft, Fire and Flood claims at notification, instructing the appropriate suppliers and gathering information to enable final decision on claim settlements.

Job Responsibilities

* Carry out all admin for new first party claim referrals with validation checks, instructions to suppliers and customer communication

* Pursuing follow up enquiries with external parties including regulatory and licensing authorities, other insurers and law agencies.

* Document Validation

* Liaise with the Policy Validation Team to validate policy cover and direct the appropriate route for the customers claim.

* Assessing the completed `evidential picture` in order to determine the correct outcome for the claim.

* Adhering to agreed personal authority limits and referring to line manager for authorisation where activity exceeds such limits.

* Negotiate and settle personal effects claims up to a maximum of £500.

* Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (including; `treating customers fairly principles, DPA and FCA).

* Responding promptly and pro-actively to incoming telephone calls and correspondence by use of telephone, e-mail and letter.

Job Requirements

* Proven Customer Service experience of at least 6 - 12 months

* Motor insurance experience desirable

* Excellent communication skills

* Works well under own initiative and as part of a team

* Excellent planning and organisational skills

* Perceptive and keen attention to detail is essential

* Excellent analytical skills

* Proven track record of exceeding KPI's and claims operational targets, per annum
