The Company
A leading Top10 Accounting Firm with an exceptional presence across the Southern Region are going through a period of exceptional growth. Their Corporate Tax Team has increased in size consistently and is now in a position to continue this growth at an Associate Director level. Not only will you be adding detailed technical knowledge to the team, you will also be supporting the Partners and taking an active role in business development.

The Role
*identify and advise on tax planning opportunities and to undertake specialist technical assignments as required.
*To ensure that appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments, such as audit, accounts, corporate finance, private client and indirect taxes, and that all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly.
*To brief junior staff on the client's business and the pre-assignment instructions, to supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake 'on the job' training and appraisals where necessary.
*To initiate and prepare proposals for new work.
*To be actively involved in the office business development activities.
*To ensure that the clients' tax affairs comply with statutory requirements, and manage work efficiently and proactively.
*To manage the assignment in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements. Ensuring the work meets targeted recovery, and to bill clients on a timely basis.
*To liaise with the client throughout the year and to practise the principles of excellent client service at all times.
*To take an active involvement in client seminars, and to effectively follow up contact made.
*Be a line manager for staff, including taking an active role in their development. Attend staff meetings and training as required.
*Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the line manager, Head of Department or any Partner.

Experience
*Must have appropriate qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or similar)
*Prior experience operating as a Manager or the ability to demonstrate this level of seniority
*Existing Business Development skills and keen commercial acumen.
*Experience of identifying and advising on tax advisory projects including restructuring and due diligence
*Able to produce high quality work to time and in budget
