Management Accountant

My client are a medium sized house builder who seek to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to be based in their office in Warrington.

The Company

As a regional house builder the company build private housing developments across the North West Region, properties range from 2 bed affordable homes to 5 bed luxury family homes

Management Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Director you will assist with all financial functions, duties to include but not limited to:

' Oversee and assist as required in the day to day posting of the cash book, Purchase Ledger & Sales Receipts on Book Accounting Systems
' Reconciliation of costing information from COINS system to the Books and monitor spend against development budgets, monthly land and build plot cost allocation
' Prepare accurate and timely financial information including details quarterly accounts in statutory format for inclusion in Broad Packs. Monitor monthly results and reports including comparison against budget and prior months
' Provide meaningful financial analysis enabling decision makers to make informed business decisions
' Manage, control and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring the correct treatment of vat
' Ensure that creditor payments have been processed regularly (majority by BACS) and that invoices gave been signed off in the correct manner
' Ensure reconciliations of cash allocations from sales is done in a timely manner, liaising with conveyancing solicitors to ensure cash receipts are reconciled to completion standards.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

' Previous experience in a similar role across all accounting functions
' Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification
' High level of analytical and numerical skills
' Good communication skills at all levels
' Experience of analysing information, dealing with complex issues
' Strong IT skills particularly with Excel and Microsoft Office
' Knowledge of COINS preferred but not essential
