Finance Administrator

Position: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £16,380 - £19,110 per year

Location: Glasgow

Hours: 35 hours per week, 8:30am - 5pm Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 2pm Friday.

About us:

We are a small family run business. We Install and maintain air conditioning systems for contractors as well as end user clients across a variety of sectors within Central Scotland. Due to rapid growth and restructuring within the business, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Finance Administrator who can support our Finance dept.

Finance Administrator:

The role of Finance Administrator is to undertake book-keeping tasks using our Xero cloud accounting software. This role is ideally suited to an organised professional individual, with excellent communication skills and a passion for finance. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Main responsibilities:
  • Day to day book-keeping transactions including delivery notes, sales invoices, purchase invoices and expenses
  • Code and check invoices using Auto-entry software (training will be given)
  • Setting up new customer accounts on Xero and other related administration to new account openings
  • Issuing purchase orders both internally and externally
  • Reconciling supplier statements & assisting Finance Manager in month end preparations
  • Compiling and issuing of Customer statements
  • Credit Control
  • Updating finance minutes following weekly meeting
  • Weekly timesheet processing for Finance Manager to action
  • Handling all finance enquiries via email & telephone efficiently
  • Monthly reports to other business departments
  • Processing credit card transactions


The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate: -
  • Proficiency in MS Word & Excel
  • Working in an account's environment now or in the past 3years for a minimum of 1year
  • Strong organisational & communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a small finance team
  • High level of attention to detail with an ability to multitask

  • Experience using Xero Cloud accounting software package

  • Salary of £16,380 - £19,110 per year
