Finance Manager - Finance Systems Project Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the Finance Development team in Boots UK. It's the job of Project Managers to coordinate and lead key projects for improvement across all levels of Finance. Their prime responsibility is to ensure that the programme produces the required projects in accordance with the time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefit performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design, appraisal and implementation of projects and programmes, bringing efficiency and greater controls to financial processes, and initially leading the implementation of a new tool to manage Supplier Funding and promotion profitability cross functionally in Boots UK.
  • Coach business project team members in the standard management processes and templates required to satisfy Agile and Unified/Waterfall project methodology - including business process mapping, user acceptance testing, internal controls, RAID assessments, project planning, financial reviews and benefits realisation.
  • Monitor plans, holding IT partners to account and developing recovery plans where needed.
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and project teams; ensuring high levels of engagement and facing into difficult conversations where needed.
  • Ensuring Project governance is following and auditable.

A bit about you...
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, a business discipline is preferred
  • Significant experience of project leadership & successful on time delivery, in full across matrix / cross functional, ideally Prince 2 qualified
  • Experience of Agile & Waterfall project methodology
  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience of SAP implementation and change essential
  • Strong ability to engage and influence others at all levels of the organisation
