About the role

Our internal communications team focuses on connecting our people with our purpose, values and strategic business priorities and ensuring our people are kept up to date with the latest information, in a creative, compelling and engaging way.

We are currently looking for a new Internal Communications Manager to join our team on a part-time basis as part of a job-share.

In this role you would be responsible for helping to develop and implement our internal communications strategy. As part of this, you'll work closely with key stakeholders to gain feedback on current communications campaigns to ensure that we can continually improve delivery and impact.

Collaboration in this role is key, you''ll work to ensure that people are kept informed at all levels of the business but also in a coaching capacity to ensure all our communications are consistent with our internal voice and brand. You will work alongside stakeholders to support them with pulling together communications to present to employee both written and verbal.

You'll plan, edit and create content for internal comms including weekly updates, 'everyone emails', posters, digital signage and physical display. You'll also manage our internal social media channels to ensure best impact.

In this role, you will also have a focus on developing our communication channels in order to improve engagement and to ensure people continue to feel well informed whilst ensuring all internal comms are consistent with Good Energy purpose, values, brand, tone of voice and visual identity. You will also lead the internal communication response to issues which affect organisational perception and reputation i.e. government changes to renewable energy policy.

About you

You will have previous experience Internal Communications, ideally as an Internal Communications Executive or Manager and will ideally have a degree or equivalent in Communications or PR. You will be able to demonstrate your previous successes delivering and improving engagement acrsoss multiple media including print, intranet, events and presentations. You will have proven experience of delivering and managing internal comms via social media as well as creating regular content for intranet/ESN and driving engagement through these channels.

You will be a strong influencer who has successully collaborated and built relationships at all levels. Strong Project Management skills are also essential as is being a great team-worker to enable you to work effectively as part of job share to ensure a seamless service.

We are also looking for someone who is aligned to our purpose and values and is flexible, agile and able to deal with rapidly-changing situations.

Experience of working within fast paced/ entrepreneurial, people / customer centric, environmental, technology-driven businesses would be an advantage.
