The role
You'll be part of the Europa Payroll Service function as part of the HR and Payroll Service team delivering an excellent service to managers and employees across our UK and Northern Europe bases.

  • Supporting the Payroll Manager to make sure all payroll deadlines are met including processing new starters and leavers.
  • First point of contact for dealing with complex payroll queries and escalation to find resolutions before involving management.
  • Responsible for supporting a fluctuating workflow with fortnightly and monthly payrolls and regular journal, overtime and other reporting.
  • Maintain payroll information directing the collection calculation and input of data including overtime, SSP SMP, Pensions etc onto our ADP (IHCM1) system.
  • Prepare payrolls ready for the gross to net calculations and reconciliation of payroll and costing files.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge and champion excellent customer service for managers by sharing expertise of ADP with new managers and existing managers.
  • Utilising MS Excel for exporting/importing of benefits packages and other metrics.
  • Ensuring application of salary sacrifice schemes maintain NWM thresholds etc, applying any other statutory or legislative processes including Real-time submissions, final year end submission and P11d's.
  • Pension implementation for auto enrolment.
  • Calculating statuary payments and annual leave and collating and entering payroll journals.
  • Other duties as directed by the Head of Human Resources including but not limited to Engagement.

  • Must be professional, enthusiastic approach to work, striving towards and consistently achieving high standards and highly competent in building relationships.
  • Fully conversant with payroll legislation and have good working knowledge of all aspects of payroll at a minimum of assistant/officer level for at least 3 years.
  • High analytical ability, identifying problems, creating and implementing procedures to automate systems to enhance accuracy, cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Skilled operator in ADP (ideally HCMI1) additional experience of other payroll systems would be useful.
  • Must be comfortable with MS Excel up to Pivot level and V Lookups.
