Production Team Leader
Our client are a leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. Built tough but easy to operate, they deliver a heritage of reliable performance, year after year. The brand offers both lawn and garden and snow removal equipment.

Overall Role Purpose:
To act as an expert in your required area and ensure that production targets and output levels are achieved, and productivity is maintained.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Management of Team Members.
2. Achievement of production targets and productivity.
3. Equipment and process maintenance / development.
4. Lean and Continuous Improvement.
Scope of Job
To provide day-to-day management of Production Operatives ensuring that manufacturing levels are maintained and to act as an expert in their required area.
Examples of tasks supporting accountability 1:
• Day-to-day management of Team Members, including absence management, performance appraisals, holiday approval etc.
• Assign work to Team Members ensuring that skills are utilised.
• Deploy resource appropriately to cover absence.
• Provide coaching, training and / or mentoring of Team Members.
Examples of tasks supporting accountability 2:
• Ensure safety, delivery, quality, productivity and 6S goals are achieved and monitored daily.
• Report performance against targets as requested to the Senior Team leader and Production Manager.
Examples of tasks supporting accountability 3:
• Ensures that the team has the correct well-maintained tools, supplies, and equipment needed for successful task completion.
• Create, sustain and update Standard work procedures.
Examples of tasks supporting accountability 4:
• Actively promote Lean and Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
• Support the Organisation in driving Lean and Continuous Improvement Projects.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Manufacturing Experience
• Supervisory Experience
• An understanding of Lean / Kaizen Experience
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
• Supervisory / Management Qualification
• Machinery Knowledge / Experience
• Lean Qualification
