Your New Role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Diamond Manager to join our passionate and dedicated team in our Glasgow store. This is a fantastic opportunity not only to develop your own skillset, but you will also be an instrumental figure in helping to push forward the sale and growth of our diamond business.

Your responsibilities will include, assisting the General Manager in the day to day running of the shop and monitoring staff responsibilities throughout the working day. You will also be responsible for ensuring the shop is a safe, secure and pleasant place to both staff and customers. The ideal candidate will be excellent at motivating and driving staff towards achieving daily, weekly, monthly and yearly diamond and jewellery targets, leading from the front.

You will be involved in the training and development of all staff and taking part in the recruitment process when required.

Hours of Work: Working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Drive and motivate both yourself and your colleagues to ensure diamond and jewellery sales targets are achieved
  • Organise and undertake diamond and jewellery training when and where requested
  • Ensure training and development of the jewellery team to deliver top product knowledge and customer experience
  • Maintain good communication with directors, managers, staff and colleagues in other stores
  • Maintain a high standard of diamond and jewellery display for windows, shop interior and shop exterior ensuring others follow suit
  • Regular stock checking and organising immediate replenishment of best-selling key lines by working closely with Head Office
  • Make sure showroom and staff are safe and secure at all times following company procedure
  • Health and safety awareness and making sure your colleagues abide by Health and Safety guidelines

Skills and experience required:
  • Must possess extensive diamond and jewellery knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal with the ability to influence without power
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a stickler for quality
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse workload
  • Ability to work as both part of a team and under own initiative
  • Able to take responsibility for own actions and performance as well as other staff
  • Demonstrates ability to develop and motivate others
  • Commercially aware
