£23000 to £28000 + Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting and innovative environment with a central government client. Coming in as a Trainee Service Transition Manager, you will work within the Governance and Assurance Team on a busy Desktop Service. This role offers variety with some opportunities to travel within the UK. You will spend up to a year learning how to carry out this role and during training you will shadow and work closely with the Service Transition Managers, undertaking any necessary certificated training and support them in an administrative capacity. Once fully trained you will be responsible for the safe introduction of project deliverables and services into the production environment with minimal service impact. This entails working closely with Project Managers guiding their projects through a series of Service Gates with the associated service acceptance criteria to ensure they are ready to go into production and support. Stakeholder engagement with Service Delivery and Service Operations staff is key to ensuring projects deliver to the necessary standards set by the account.

You will need to be eligible for and prepared to go through Government clearances for this great opportunity.

Job Requirements.

Knowledge of ITIL service management processes and practices (desirable)

Some experience of working in a medium to large IT organisation.

Willingness to learn and take on responsibility

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Good Microsoft IT Skills including word, excel and outlook

Articulate and able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients.

Planning and organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
