Are you looking for a new challenge within your career? If so I am excited to announce that I am working with a well established FMCG business within the UK as they are now looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join their growing team.

Purpose of the role:

You will use your experience and expertise to achieve and exceed company targets for your sector / portfolio of customers. Your time will be spent with your key customer contacts on a daily basis as well as interacting with key departments internally including Supplier Sales and the wider Business

You will be expected to achieve growth on your account(s) and contribute on an operational and strategic level.

  1. Managing and growing your sector / portfolio of customer's dependence on the business through cross-functional engagement.
  2. Creation and management of an overall sales plan for the account and identifying account activity to ensure appropriate revenue / growth is achieved.
  3. Responsible for account planning and direction to ensure customer satisfaction and performance above and beyond business KPI's.
  4. Where appropriate highlighting and presenting to new stakeholders / departments. Qualifying the appropriate revenue with a focus on profit margin.
  5. Achieving Monthly Direct and Indirect Sales targets for your account(s).
  6. Ensure the indirect sales pipeline is delivered accurately and in advance to allow launch dates to be met.
  7. Manage the customers ranging information centrally for capacity planning and revenue generation purposes, including management of exceptional items.
  8. Identify potential up / cross sell opportunities for your account to drive revenue generation and increase customer satisfaction.
  9. Contact and communication plans to drive forward range changes/new ranges in to both the customer and the business, to drive the work through to completion efficiently and effectively.
  10. Creating new processes and working practices to drive efficient operations.
  11. Monitoring and reporting figures and statistics to both the business and clients.

  1. FMCG / retail / wholesale / food service experience in a Commercial, sales environment is beneficial
  2. Track record of proven success in own sales ability and full knowledge of the sales process
  3. Experienced in influencing at the most senior levels with a passion for the business service offering as a solution within the FMCG industry globally.
  4. Confident negotiator and ability to 'close the deal'
  5. Strong client management skills
  6. Remains calm under high pressure
  7. Self-driven, proactive and results orientated
  8. Capable of hands on problem solving, and able to analyse processes to generate ideas and solutions
  9. Excellent written and spoken English.
