Job Title: Head of Broker and Affiliates

Location: London

Salary: Up to circa £65,000 plus benefits and bonus of circa 20%

About the role of Head of Broker and Affiliates

The successful candidate will need the spirit of entrepreneurship and a start-up attitude. Working in a growing partnerships team you will manage two direct reports and a growing team of 6. The role is fundamentally to help shape the future of their partnerships function and be part of a growing team

Responsibilities and Experience required for the role of Head of Broker and Affiliates
  • Strategically lead on, drive and deliver growth and value from existing and new partner relationships
  • Lead of the development of channel strategy, advancing the company's market standing delivering against budget metrics
  • Oversee day to day relationship management/accountability of partner activity - empower the team to drive growth and value through proactive, industry leading, strategic communication.
  • Work with the Commercial Director to identify and agree KPIS and targets against which progress can be measured
  • Oversight across partner commercial terms
  • Ownership and oversight over P&L and budget management across channel partnerships
  • Overall responsibility for channel specific partnership development team to ensure focus and growth develop a highly motivated, highly effective, dynamic team to deliver proactive, industry leading services to partners
  • Line management of three direct reports and two in direct reports, with potential line management responsibilities to grow in line with channel and business growth.
  • Manage and produce performance and challenge summary reports for cross calibration/sharing with the senior management team, Exco and board members
  • Build and maintain an understanding of the UK alternative funding market and landscape
  • Foster the collation of competitive updates and market intelligence within the team. Oversee distribution directly into both channel and company core strategy to drive proposition development and ensure the overall proposition remains focussed in delivery of value for partners and customers.
  • Drive quality and ethics in business relationships

Experience required for the role of Head of Broker and Affiliates
  • Experience in a similar role within a lending business, ideally Business lending related
  • Experience gained in marketing to intermediaries/Introducers
  • Ability to build, manage and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders particularly where they have differing requirements and measures of success and of brokering ways forward
  • Cross departmental strategic ability
  • Consummate knowledge, experience and ability of expected channel nuances, market forces and industry as a whole
  • Collaborative approach and comfortable working in a dynamic tea3m environment, including tight interaction with the business development, product, technology, operations and marketing teams
  • High level of influencing/diplomacy skills
  • Strategically minded
  • Experience in finance or merchant industry
  • Experience of managing teams
  • Ability to articulate ideas and gain the support of senior executives internally and externally
  • Commercially driven thinker who thrives in context of ambiguity and cuts through to focus on long term effective outcomes
