We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Client's team based in Inverness. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful Candidate will be responsible for developing plans and working schedules for the approval of Area Manufacturing and Engineering teams to deliver maintenance plans to agreed levels of schedule compliance in a safe and efficient manner. Applying a proactive planning approach, they will organise and resource the work prior to issue providing job work-packs which ensure appropriate safety procedures are applied and that the tasks are delivered efficiently. Monitoring and reporting on maintenance performance using Avantis CMMS System, recommending opportunities for improving the effectiveness and efficient delivery of maintenance. Responsibilities Ensuring appropriate company standards are followed when planning maintenance tasks Producing job work-packs including all appropriate safety requirements Able to produce task specific risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) in line with Departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the work environment Assisting in ensuring the requirements of statutory/mandatory, legislative and quality assurance are fulfilled and recorded Carrying out risk assessments, observations, crew talks and safety discussions Ensuring compliance of engineering safety and environmental activities to legislative and company procedural requirements Ensuring CAMF processes are adhered to within their Area team Attending Weekly Plant Planning Meeting Providing feedback to Maintenance Engineers on a daily basis Attending daily Manufacturing Meeting Creating weekly draft maintenance plans for Planned Maintenance & Emerging Work, to attain the highest possible utilisation of materials & resources, for approval at weekly Area Planning Meeting Compiling information for Maintenance Manager to use in Weekly Plant Planning Meeting Generating the 52 week Master schedule for labour, spares and external resources for their area Producing work schedules Ensuring work is planned Obtaining resources Executing the hire and off hire of external services/equipment Maintaining and controlling engineering spares, including stores stock items Producing & reporting maintenance KPI's Weekly Schedule Compliance reporting for the Area team Using CMMS System to monitor & report progress of task execution and reporting any non- conformance to the Maintenance Team Providing feedback to the Maintenance Engineers on the quality of task information feedback into CMMS Providing guidance to the Maintenance team on proposed task frequencies Continuously seeking to improve the productivity of shared resources Providing backlog data to assist Area Supervisor to manage backlog tasks on a weekly basis to achieve agreed target levels Effectively communicating plans and schedules Mentoring other personnel in the use of maintenance systems tools and equipment Ensuring calibrated equipment is maintained in full compliance with defined systems and procedures Polices' all facets of maintenance activity within their Area team, identifying, monitoring and reporting any non-compliance Requirements: Previous background in maintenance engineering In-depth knowledge of and capability in effective work planning and scheduling Proven ability in using CMMS Systems for planning / scheduling work and producing management information Experienced, capable of working within teams and leading and supervising assigned work groups Excellent communicator with both written and verbal skills and visual presentation Proven analytical skills Ability to optimise resources in order to minimise cost, working within maintenance budgets Capability of assessing shared resource deployment and improving its optimisation Capability of communicating and training personnel in the effective use of maintenance related systems Knowledgeable in equipment calibration and delivering compliance to the QMS If you feel that you are well suited to the above opportunity and would like to find out more then please contact Orion Group for more information or apply by forwarding your current CV quoting reference 926648.
