Our client, a highly reputable firm of Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors currently seek an Accountant to join their growing team in Inverness. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accountant to support the Directors with management and annual accounts work for a varied portfolio of Highland clients. You will directly impact the growth and development of the department and work closely with colleagues in the local team and other regional offices. Key Responsibilities: Preparing year end accounts for a varied client portfolio Preparing management accounts and providing meaningful commentary to support clients with the effective running of their respective businesses Preparing financial forecasts, business plans and ad hoc reports Preparing VAT returns Building and maintaining strong client relationships Supporting with implementation and improvement of internal processes to ensure the continued efficiency and success of the team Identifying and assisting with business development opportunities Supporting with mentoring and training of junior members of the team You will be part-qualified, fully qualified (CA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience gained within an accountancy firm. You will demonstrate a proactive and methodical approach to your work and will possess excellent communication and client engagement skills.
