Vessel Design Engineer required for a permanent position within an engineering service provider, this role will be based in Swadlingcote.
Qualification requirements:
Experience in Pressure Vessel design
Role overview:
To design storage and pressure vessels ensuring we comply to PED PD5500 & ASME codes of practise, while also satisfying the clients specifications and the clients project requirements.
Details of role:
* Have a proven track record in pressure vessel design.
* Have exposure to a wide range of applications.
* A demonstrable skill working with PD5500.
* A demonstrable skill in using and understanding PV Elite
* Have experience in carrying out technical discussions with Clients and Sub-contractors.
* Be able to liaise with suppliers and workshop enabling an efficient build programme.
* Be able to liaise with notified bodies when working under PED.
* Have experience with working to ISO 9001:2008/2015.
* Be competent with the Autodesk suite,
* Preparation of Material Take Off / Purchase Requisition for Vessel materials,
* Review of Client's Technical Specifications,
* Production of Manufacture Fabrication drawings, workshop coordination on technical issues.
Personal specification:
We are seeking an individual with a true passion for design. The right candidate will have a strong proven track record of designing pressure storage vessels.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with pressure vessel systems, being competent in PV Elite and PD5500

Must be local (45min/1hr commute max)
Liaison with clients and suppliers/sub-contractors,
Participating in the tendering process,
On site surveying where necessary,
Ensure Musk/Client standards are followed on every contract,
* Compliance with the Company's General Conditions of Employment,
* Ensure a professional and tidy approach is maintained within the Design Office and CAD System,
* Complete accurate timesheets within the prescribed time limit.
Hours of work:
39 hr/week-Monday-Thursday 8:30-17:00 -½hr Lunch
Friday 8:30-16:00-½hr Lunch
