To have reached such monumental heights in the last 10 years with just the bare bones of a digital marketing function in place is a pretty impressive performance from this tech-focussed travel company, which is why being among the first to join the Social Media team is going to be such an exciting ride. And whatsmore, as this is a team build the hiring manager is going to be over the moon to grow the current team (of one!) with creative, strategic and, above all, passionate Social Media experts who have happily worked at scale and are keen to really own the channel.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drive brand awareness on social media platforms
  • Be community focussed, posting and responding to comments, spotting opportunities and trends to get on board with and feeding back brilliant ideas and initiatives to the brand marketing team to help shape content and creativity.
  • It goes without saying - grammar, spelling, tone of voice and timing need to be spot on, as do accompanying images, videos etc.
  • Keep constantly informed of social media developments - tech, tools, trends as well as competitor activity.
  • Work at a global level but also able to work with regional teams and share best practices
  • Adhere to platform guidelines (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Linkedin, YouTube, etc)

Key skills:
  • Ideally you have worked for a global consumer brand with considerable social media followers (you'll be working with millions) and have the capacity to adapt as the numbers continue to grow at pace.
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite, Sprinklr, etc
  • Analytical and collaborative but also naturally creative and a stickler for accuracy

This brand has a voice - but needs a Global Social Media Specialist to turn up the volume.
