A rapidly growing Pharmaceutical business based in Abington currently seek a temporary Assistant Accountant for a period of 3 months. The business are looking for someone who has previous experience in an advanced accounting role to start with them ASAP. There is potential this role could become a permanent opportunity. 4 or 5 days a week will be considered.

This role will support the wider finance team with the following finance tasks:
• Assist in the Preparation of information for External and Internal auditors on annual and quarterly basis
• Assist in the construction of the Company Statutory Accounts
• Calculate Project Accruals & Accrued Income
• Prepare and enter monthly journals, including Payroll, Cycle Scheme, Inter Company transactions, Share Options, Grant income as examples
• Calculate and post Accruals / Prepayments
• Debtors/Creditors Revaluation
• Work with Financial Assistant to resolve supplier (creditor) queries
• Assist in the maintenance of control documentation
• Prepare Office National Statistics returns
• Calculate FTE and recharges for month end and invoicing purposes
• Assist in the production of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Take charge of Asset Register and Prepayment schedule

Additional Duties:
• Enter onto Sage 200 purchase and sales invoices.
• Ad hoc as required

Candidates must possess the following:
• Final stages AAT or Part-qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) or by work environment experience equivalent
• Nominal Ledger office experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A positive can do' attitude
• Sage 200 practical knowledge
• High competence in Excel (Pivot Tables, V-LOOKUPs etc)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Assist in the maintenance of control documentation
