Page Personnel are working in partnership with a well-known retail brand to recruit a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk. The successful candidate will work within the finance team at their central Warrington location.

Client Details

The client are a global retail organisation who have over 300 stores in over 20 countries. They pride themselves on being values driven and doing business in a responsible manner. Last year they took just under £2 billion in sales in the UK alone so this role would be suitable for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and busy environment.

Description

The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be required to:

- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger weekly and ensure that old outstanding balances are chased and cleared

- Reconcile the direct debit transactions on a weekly basis

- Make payment runs twice a week, ensuring that all payment deadlines are met

- Support ad-hoc finance projects and tax analysis as and when required

- Actively take part in finance meetings

Profile

The successful candidate must possess the following qualities:

- Have previous experience in a similar role

- Self-motivate, prioritise and take initiative towards set objectives

- Multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required

- Ability to communicate and build relationships

- Be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office
