SEN Teaching Assistant needed as soon as possible offering £65.00 - £75.00 per day in the Gloucester area

Your new school

We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work as a SEN specialist at a successful school in Gloucester who have an excellent track record for supporting pupils with additional needs. This school have a full-time job available to start immediately working directly with the Inclusion Team helping promote independent learning and positive behaviour. The school work hard to support their students with additional needs and SEN reach their full potential and this role will be contributing to that aim.

Your new role
This is a full-time teaching assistant role, term time only, reporting into the Head of Inclusion. You will be required to provide support to pupils with SEN and additional needs including Autism and dyslexia. You will be working in with them to make the curriculum accessible and helping their progress. You will be doing a combination of small group work and one to one both in withdrawal sessions and in academic lessons.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to demonstrate you have previous experience in a similar SEN teaching assistant role within the last two years and be able to confidently support students with special educational needs. You will need to be flexible and proactive be able to work collaboratively with other staff and parents. You will ideally be educated to degree level but candidates with experience and a relevant NVQ Level 3 will be considered.
