Contract Type: Temporary for 2 years
Salary: 50% of £15336 in year one rising to 80% of £15336 in year two
Interview Date: Monday 19 August 2019

You will work under supervision on all aspects of Electoral Services including the processing of applications to register to vote and administration of elections.

The Modern Apprentice will provide effective support to the Electoral Services in a professional manner in line with business requirements, including in the maintenance of the electoral register and delivery of scheduled and unscheduled elections including the Scottish Parliamentary Elections in May 2021 and any necessary by-elections.
The Individual
Applicants should have achieved or be expecting to achieve by August 2019:

A minimum 3 Standard Grades at credit level 1 or 2, to include English and Maths OR 3 Intermediate 2's, to include English and Maths OR equivalent Core Skills at SCQF level 5 OR 3 National 5s, to include English and Maths.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve SVQ level 3 (SCQF Level 7) in Business and Administration. Previous experience can be considered as equivalent see SCQF Framework
