Jobline Staffing is recruiting for a Parts Person to work for Cormac within their fleet workshops division. The role is based in Scorrier and is a full time temporary position there maybe permanent opportunities for the right candidate.

To carry out a range of duties associated with the supply of materials to the Engineering Workshops.

Responsibilities include:

·Ordering of 'Direct Purchase' materials

·Ordering of 'Stock' materials

·Receiving materials (Goods Inwards)

·Issuing materials to technicians and allocating the issues to specific jobs using Fleet Management computer system

·Obtain the best prices, deliveries or services from trade suppliers where no specific tender exists

·Ensure that all stock materials are suitably stored in the designated areas

·To ensure that all orders for materials are progressed with due urgency based on the requirements of the workshops and their customers

·Operate the workshop equipment available within the Engineering Workshops if suitably trained and competent to do so e.g. lifts, pressure cleaners, brake testing machines, forklifts, pallet trucks and other workshop equipment.

·Ensuring all paperwork (delivery notes, invoices etc) are handled promptly in accordance with specified procedures and timescales

·Responsible for the return of incorrect parts or warranty parts to the relevant supplier for credit

·Train and mentor less experienced members of staff and trainees

·Maintaining the stores area within the workshop ensuring it is kept in a safe condition

·Organise and prioritise work with limited supervision (e.g. decide priorities between serving at stores counter/receiving goods inwards materials or ordering urgent parts)

·Stocktaking on a regular basis

·Deliver materials to other sites and/or mobile service fitters as required

·Collect materials from local trade suppliers if required

·Take all necessary steps to ensure that parts can be properly identified including maintenance of any vehicle records that allow correct identification

·Ensure that all materials are stored and handled safely and 'date marked' in accordance with Quality & Environmental Assurance systems

·Ensure all works undertaken are carried out in accordance with Cormac Health & Safety policy

·Undertake technical training as required to maintain skill levels in accordance with statutory responsibility

·To undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required

Skills/experience required:

·Previous experience in vehicle parts/stores department

·Knowledge of HGV/LGV vehicles and plant machinery

·Full Driving Licence

·Ability to work in an organised & methodical manner in a fast-moving environment

·Effective communication skills, both oral and written

·Negotiation skills and a good selling technique

·Good knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook applications & general computer literacy
