My client is a leading SME Business based within a specialist area of manufacturing, ideally situated on Meridian Business Park, easily commutable from across Leicestershire.

Due to expansion they now have a vacancy for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this broad and varied role will work across:

• Purchase Ledger - Processing, Payments, Recs, Queries
• Sales Ledger - Raising of 400 invoices per month, sending statements, allocation of payments
• Credit Control - Chasing of overdue balances and resolve queries, issue credit notes
• Cash and Banking - Management of cash books, bank accounts and petty cash
• General ledger - Raising of Journals, processing of accruals and pre payments
• VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat Returns - Monthly and Quarterly Returns
• Assisting Finance Manager with ad hoc duties at month and year end

Applicants will ideally have a varied accounting knowledge and be happy working across the ledgers.

A good level of IT literacy is key, however training will be given on the internal accounting system.

In return, this position can be offered on either a full or part time basis, 30 to 37.5 hours, with a salary of £23,000.
