Warehouse Coordinator - Edmonton

Permanent

Shift Based - Days and Nights

Salary Circa £32,000 + Flexible Benefits + Share Scheme + Pension Plan + Car Parking

What you become part of:

Edmonton Distribution Centre is a 24/7 operation, our Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) warehouse holds over 25,000 pallets, with a typical annual throughput of one-and-a-half million pallets. Every 24 hours we expect to receive around 2,000 pallets from the on-site manufacturing operation, directly into the ASRS, as well as handling around 200 vehicle movements. Inbound vehicles arrive from our other factory sites, with palletised goods which must be put away promptly and safely into the ASRS and accurately recorded. At the same time, orders of full pallets will be pre-assembled into gravity racking and side-loaded on third party haulage vehicles, for dispatch to our customers and other sites across our network.

What to expect:


Liaise with your shift/team to plan and co-ordinate the operation to maximise stock availability for the Bulk channel. This will include the loading of haulier loads and checking of paperwork to ensure casefill and customer expectation are met.
Maintain accurate data for the holding and releasing of held stock, liaising with key stakeholders in this area, protecting customer service/casefill.
You will actively attend held stock meetings and work with your wider team/s to support this key agenda.
You will be responsible for ensuring your team of Warehouse Operatives are at optimal productivity at all times, identifying work that needs to be done and moving operatives to that role when loading / tipping allows.
Deputise for your line manager when necessary - holiday/sick etc
Manage the coordination of all depot returns, co-packer and inbound deliveries
Share Best Practice with other team members and colleagues to improve casefill, Quality, Safety, Environment and KPI performance.
You will take personal ownership and responsibility for the quality of own work delivered, and identify and action ways of improving it
Team flexibility through working closely with your shift/team to perform tasks allocated to you to ensure team performance and distribution output is achieved.

Skills & Essentials:


You must be a pro-active, flexible team player and have the ability to plan your workload efficiently and effectively to ensure stock availability is maximised.
Strong organisational and administration skills with good attention to detail
Strong communication skills
PC literate experienced in Microsoft Office packages
Working knowledge of SAP within a distribution environment desirable
