This is a brand new, really exciting but really challenging role for someone to work for a global pharmaceutical business to improve their supply chain across all regions.

An opportunity to travel the globe, going to all types of economically, or less-economically developed countries to improve supply chains to import the drugs which will save livelihoods. This role will really require someone that has a massive amount of drive to learn the industry, company layout and be fully prepared to face multiple angles of resistance, whether it's altering historic and internal process, or trying to bulk in-country supply chains where some countries may have barriers and hurdles in logistics management.
  • Initially map out the entire supply chain maturity across all regions globally
  • Identify why, where and what the reasons are that some supply chains are ineffective and not functioning properly
  • Support other supply chain colleagues in implementing a supply chain process and system policy, then roll this out hands on
  • Manage the global inventory management system for ensure each country has enough of the drug for distribution and correct amount
  • Be ready to go to any country to bulk up the supply chain capacity
  • Second part of this role is to design a group supply chain toolkit including; Team skills, forecasting, in-bound logistics, warehouse management etc
  • Support countries in ensuring they adhere to the standardised supply chain process

Experience and requirements:
  • Experience in supply chain, ideally pharma but not essential
  • Ability to understand the cultural and legislation differences in all types of country
  • Deep technical understanding of how supply chain works and how it can be improved
  • Huge drive to succeed, learn, develop and bring value to the companies vision and social impact
  • Be able to advise on site teams across countries using technical knowledge
  • Experience in identifying and developing a suitable inventory management system
  • CIPS and degree id preferable but not essential
