Senior Product Manager. A Global Manufacturer of Hygiene products are looking for a Product Manager to join their exciting team. They are going through exciting investment and growth and have created this brand new role.

The Role: We are looking for someone to drive forward our New Product Development, not for the physical design but for the product requirements, market positioning and project management. This is a customer facing role and will require overseas and domestic travel, supporting the sales team with bespoke customer projects. The Product Manager will work closely with the Head of Design and the Marketing Manager to deliver product excellence.

Senior Product Manager duties include:
  • Translating business strategy into product strategy and driving action throughout the business to get products to market
  • Building up market vision; understand the brand, product requirements, pricing and competition in detail
  • Carrying out market research and recommending price positioning, and providing this detail and insight to stakeholders
  • Identifying and communicating the key benefits and value of products to the rest of the business, supporting marketing plans.
  • Attending and/or participating in Exhibitions
  • Analysing of monthly sales and KPI reports for continuous product improvement plans.
  • Assisting the Production Planner in forecasting new lines, or key products in promotional periods, including involvement with the phase-in and phase-out of products
  • Lifecycle management - manage products from inception to launch to performance peak to discontinuation to disposal (Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline).
  • New product introduction - identify opportunities in the marketplace which warrant the addition of new products and ranges into our portfolio, and work with Purchasing to bring in those products and ranges.
  • Pricing - set pricing strategies and set and manage pricing for the product portfolio.
  • Promotion - create core content and collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop rich, engaging, sales-driving listings, collateral and campaigns.
  • Data - create and maintain structures and standards for all product data and product assets.
