The English Coordinator role is fast paced, varied, challenging and rewarding role, with no day the same! You will be managing a team of teachers who are responsible for delivering our English Language provision to our partner institution, CSVPA.

Your Profile and Responsibilities

Your role will play a vital part as liaison point between CSVPA and Stafford House International to ensure we are providing effective delivery of the academic provision and the student experience for CSVPA students being taught by Stafford House International.

You will be managing a team of English teachers dedicated to the delivery of English to CSVPA Art, design and performing arts students, with a focus on improving language ability and IELTS scores to support students in achieving their final university destinations. .

Be the key point of liaison between Stafford House International and CSVPA to ensure we are achieving the desired student outcomes.

You will be responsible for the managing of the design and delivery of course content, producing engaging and inspiring schemes of work and related departmental administration.

You will be expected to teach an agreed number of hours which will be agreed with your line manager

You will organise cover for any staff absences within your department, working flexibly and creatively with the existing staff body to provide cost effective cover solutions. You may also be

required to proactively provide cover yourself on occasion to ensure a continuous service provision to our students.

You will be responsible for overseeing accreditation requirements within your department in liaison with CSVPA. We need a motivated self-starter who will proactively engage with the team at CSVPA in order to understand requirements and ensure the English provision is fully compliant with regulations.

Confident communication is essential to ensure that CSVPA, staff, students and external parties and are kept up to date with any issues and the progress made and relevant records are maintained.

The coordinator will ensure termly academic reports are completed by the department for all CSVPA students in accordance with the deadlines set by CSVPA.

You will act as the liaison for student welfare and behaviour between CSVPA and Stafford House International, ensuring you work closely with CSVPA to ensure we are supporting behaviour and attendance monitoring and reporting and taking appropriate measures where possible.

Accountable for teacher induction, teacher training and development for your department: ensuring regular lesson observations and constructive feedback take place, designs INSET sessions and provides information and advice on external training for staff

The English Coordinator is responsible for ensuring their team are engaged, motivated and developed to their full potential, addressing any development or performance issues directly and promptly.

Responsible for teacher recruitment to deliver the language provision for CSVPA students, ensuring we appoint inspiring, engaging and motivated staff to join our dedicated team.

In addition, the post holder will need to be flexible and adapt to change easily as the school's business is seasonal in nature and as such the duties performed could expand in line with staffing levels and within the level of responsibility appropriate for the role.

In addition to the specific responsibilities for the CSVPA programmes you will be joining the Academic Management team of Stafford House Cambridge. As such you may at times be deployed within the wider Stafford House Cambridge operation.
