Role: Field Engineer (Windows 10) - REF 16369

Pay Rate to Candidate: Total charge rate from the agency must not exceed £254.80 per day

Minimum Requirement:
Windows 10 experience
Infrastructure replacement experience
Switch and Cabinet replacement experience
Experience of Firewalls and installations
HSCN experience desirable
Available to start 1.8.19

Carry out the planning, preparation, delivery, installation and configuration of both standalone and networked hardware (e.g. PCs, printers and peripherals) and software systems (e.g. PC operating systems, office products, bespoke software) following agreed documentation/procedures. Analyse, investigate and resolve complex IT queries, issues and problems e.g. system errors, breaches of security or confidentiality, user requirements which may require configuration of software and hardware.
  • Image and/or rebuild PCs/Laptops with Windows 10 gold build plus localised applications.
  • Perform asset inventories.
  • Install and move equipment.
  • Backup and restore user data and settings and system administration activities.
  • Interact with application software and OS to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve unique problems. Take ownership of these issues and work through them to resolution, identifying and resolving all technical issues related to the refresh and maintaining a log.
  • Provide infrastructure administration functions, including Active Directory.
  • Ensure requirements are met within service targets.
  • Understand testing techniques and plan and execute software tests of all application components and verify software specified requirements.
  • Work with third parties to resolve issues with software and hardware, both internal and external clients.
  • Install and remove software and hardware, completing tests, audits and handover documentation.

Provide all information on assets deployed as part of the handover process, in the form of sign off documents, knowledge base information and asset register, decommissioned assets, and all server team information needs.
