Maintenance Engineer, £38,000, 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights), 33 days holiday, 10% pension.

About the role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

Providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site that manufactures their product into the millions.

You will be responsible for maintaining automated plant machinery including conveyors, crushers, pneumatics, hydraulic systems, extruders, grinders plus more.

You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Electrical installation & project work.
  • Compliance and health and safety.
  • Critical stock control.

About you

As a maintenance engineer should have the following:
  • Electrically qualified - Level 3 or above (City and guilds, BTEC, NVQ)
  • Strong electrical skillset, industry background is less important.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
  • A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
  • The ability to work within a proactive nature.

About the company

ATA is working with one of the UKs largest building materials manufacturers who is looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to join their team in the North West. The company, who turn over £350million per annum have over 20 manufacturing sites dotted through the UK. The site based in Lancashire has seen continuous periods of significant growth over the years and is looking to expand further in 2019. The site is looking to invest money in training their engineers, install new production machinery and upgrade the current plant, which will allow them to achieve their company vision of LEAN manufacturing.
