Creditor Claims Assessor Role

Our client is an independent provider of outsourced insurance service solutions for leading insurance companies and their intermediaries. They specialise in the administration of personal lines insurance and work for a number of major insurers.

Location:

Based in the centre of Winchester, they are a short walk from the train station or alternatively a Park & Ride bus stop is located directly outside their office.

Responsibilities:

They're looking to expand its High Value/Credit Claim Team and are seeking two Claims Assessors who will:

Work within a Team with the goal to provide a compete, accurate and efficient claims validation and payment service to Clients, agents, policyholders and where appropriate associated third parties.

The key tasks are as follows:
  • Validate all matters in full accordance with set procedures
  • As this is a technical role it would be very beneficial for you to have previous insurance claims handling background
  • committed to responding to our customers as soon as possible so you'll need to work at a good pace and have excellent accuracy and the attention to detail
  • As you'll be working on multiple claims at one time, so you will need to be highly organised
  • Their customer experience is at the forefront of everything they do, so you`ll be passionate about delivering top customer service
  • Make accurate claim payments to the appropriate source within strict SLAs
  • Handle verbal, written and electronic communications
  • Maintain all supportive documentation and records updating computer and paper records as appropriate
  • Archive all data in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Keep Senior Managers appraised of any Complaints issues
  • Work within all Health and Safety regulations

The essential skills and qualifications we are looking for:
  • A Chartered Insurance Institute qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Educated to degree level desirable but not essential
  • A good knowledge of financial services and the regulations imposed by the FCA and other law & regulatory bodies (in particular the Data Protection Act, Financial Services Act, FOS and ABI Codes of Practice, and Access to Medical Reports Act).
  • A good working knowledge of the insurance industry in particular payment protection and healthcare products.

Experience Required
  • Ideally, two years experience of working within the insurance industry.
  • Demonstratable experience of working in a Claim environment
