Deputy SENCo

Our client is an all-through Academy based in Exeter within a beautiful location with fantastic facilities. They are currently looking to recruit a Deputy SENCO to join their well respected and forward-thinking organisation. The SEN department covers mainstream pupils with ADHD, ASD and SEMH.

Covering the secondary department of this school, you will be an outstanding Assistant SENCO to support the smooth running of the SEN department. The Assistant SENCO will support the SENCO and other members of the SLT with the assessment of SEN pupils. Ideally, you will hold a qualification in this area and hold a level 7 Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) or an equivalent qualification within assessment or one that encompasses it. As well working on a high level of EHCP administration and general SEN paperwork, you will also spend time working with SEN secondary pupils in small groups or on a 1 to 1 basis. The position also includes coordinating SEN best practice across SEN Team members. You will be joining a passionate and committed staff team that have a child-centred approach.

This is a full time role, starting on a long-term temporary basis that may become permanent. Hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The daily pay rate is between £75 and £95 per day depending on skills and experience.
