Group Management Accountant - LSL Property Services plc - Newcastle Business Park

LSL is a leading provider of residential property services to its key customer groups. Services to consumers include: residential sales, lettings, surveying, conveyancing and advice on mortgages and non-investment insurance products. Services to mortgage lenders include: valuations and panel management services, asset management and property management services.

We are currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant into our Group Finance team within our Newcastle upon Tyne based head office. The main purpose of this role will be to form part of the Group Finance function with responsibility for Head Office management accounts and production of the group management accounts and you will play a role in producing the group and parent statutory accounts and associated information for the Board.

The role will support the key scheduled deliverables of the Group Finance function as well as any ad hoc deliverables that may arise

The Main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation & analysis of monthly head office management accounts and forecasts
  • Preparation of the group management accounts and additional monthly information
  • Production of information for the Board and individual Board members as required
  • Analysis of balance sheet & cash flow items, such as aged debtors, working capital and capital expenditure
  • Assist in the production of group statutory accounts process and produce statutory accounts for the parent company
  • Responsible for group recharges both internal and allocation of external group spend
  • Undertake budget preparation for head office cost centres
  • Actively seek constant process improvement

The ideal candidate will be newly or part qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Continued study support will be available.

You will also possess the following skills:
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Strong Excel skills both to create and interpret spread sheets
  • Strong organisational ability and planning skills to organise work independently to ensure deadlines are met
  • Effective communication style to ensure deadlines are adhered to and information received on a timely basis
  • Innovative attitude to problem solving
