An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of the Finance Analyst to manage all aspects of this particular project's finances in line with standards and provide assurance to the team leads. This is a senior Finance Analyst role which involves active management of finances, providing constructive challenge and improvements to the overall financial status by analysing actuals against the budget.

  • End to end production of monthly reports including preparation of monthly review packs and writing insightful commentary
  • Provide detailed monthly analysis of Workstream performance and highlight drivers of variances versus budget and forecast
  • Work directly with the relevant leads to highlight and understand Risks and Opportunities and to agree mitigation strategies
  • Responsible for monthly process of purchase order tracking, invoicing and accruals
  • Become a trusted Business Partner to the senior management to influence the achievement of the financial budget and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Be the 'voice of finance' within the business unit to influence and challenge the leads on decisions to ensure the financial considerations are fully understood before a course of action is taken
  • Work closely with the business leads to build robust cost plans and ensure there is a strong focus on associated OPEX impact
  • Work with the leads to ensure that mechanisms are established to track and report project benefits

  • Qualified Accountant / Finalist - CIMA, ACCA, ACA
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills plus demonstrates drive and willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data, create robust financial models and assure business driver models
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Able to translate complex information into easily understood messages
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal customers, challenge and influence key stakeholders up to Director level
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and mentor junior members of the team
  • Advanced level Excel, proficient in Word, PowerPoint,

  • Extensive experience in a similar Finance role
  • Experience within a relevant industry would be an advantage
  • Business Partnering experience
  • To work within the framework of UK accounting practice and comply with accounting convention
