Technical Trainer
We have been instructed to find a Technical Trainer for one of our manufacturing Client based in Hampshire. The Technical Trainer will be responsible for devising and delivering cost effective technical training to enable their employees to make a full contribution to the achievements of the Business

Selected Duties & Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and build training modules, working with internal or external trainers as subject matter experts across site
  • Manage and administer competence assessments in partnership with area owners and subject matter experts. Audit the sign off against competency matrices and deliver a plan to fill the gaps in order to raise capability and flexibility across site. Ensure all operators are adequately trained to perform their duties in a safe manner and that refresher training is conducted within the required timescales.
  • Facilitate practical assessments for operators to determine suitability for recruitment purposes.
  • Support the introduction of new processes and equipment in the creation of SOPs, operating manuals and the sign off process for competency.
  • Support the change control process, by ensuring changes to process are trained out.
  • Provide first class technical and orientation training for new starters
  • Work with subject matter experts to generate and maintain technical workbooks for all operational roles within the Mill, to include individual competency specifications, theory and practical examinations. (Genesis Programme).
  • Ensure that training is provided to give the mill the flexibility to deliver its targets, allowing resources to be deployed across processes where the business needs them.
  • Act as a consultant on mill wide SOPs, SSoW, RAs, OPLs, Work Instructions, Technical Notes and Visual Standards as required.
  • Support Project Engineering in delivering essential training for operators where new equipment/processes are installed, ensuring all training material is compliant.
  • Support the all Continuous Improvement programmes to ensure adequate training and support is being provided.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
  • Ability to understand complex and technical processes
Desirable
  • Manufacturing / Paper industry experience
  • A demonstrative passion for safety
  • A demonstrable passion for training and coaching
  • A professional training qualification would be an advantage
