Head of Admissions & Marketing (Independent School) - Blackburn
£35,000 - £40,000 full-time / permanent (incl. lunches, free parking, fee discount etc.)

Our client, a prestigious independent school in Blackburn with an enviable reputation of academic excellence are now looking to recruit a Head of Admissions & Marketing who will be an integral member of the team, with responsibility for building strong working relationships across departments within the school including interaction with parents (current and prospective) to promote the school and support recruitment & retention.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director and working closely with the Principal, SLT, Head of Departments, Executive Assistant and the Principal's PA, the key purpose of the role is to develop, innovate, drive and maintain strong, positive and value-added relationships with various stakeholders including the Infant School, Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form communities.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional who can develop and execute effective marketing strategies from campaign development through to analysing the effectiveness of future campaigns. They will also have a high level of accountability with key measures of success being measured against the number of new enquires generated, the number of parent visits and registrations, plus the flow of pupils between the individual year groups

As the Head of Admissions & Marketing, your key responsibilities will include:
• Assist in developing marketing strategies for projects, the school's website and social media activities whilst ensuring the school's key messages are integrated into all marketing and communications.
• Analyse data to determine efficiency of marketing strategies including the use of market research tools to monitor and assist in the development of the School's market positioning.
• Line manage the Marketing administrators and coordinate all aspects of admissions (UK and Overseas) throughout the school with responsibility for ensuring targets are met for the numbers and calibre of new pupils at all entry points, each year.
• Proactively maintain regular analysis of admission statistics, trends and build analytical reports as directed by the Commercial Director.
• Understand, embrace and communicate the Schools' ethos and approach in all communications and interaction with prospective parents and students, educational agents, and other schools.
• Ensure that all reports, workflows and activities meet the requirements of the GDPR Data Protection Act on stakeholder engagement including all data held on SIMS, in relation to admissions management.
• Maintain and develop active and cordial links with other schools including attendance at educational fairs etc. and occasional weekend and evening work.
• Work with the Commercial Director (CD) and the Executive Assistant to the CD to assist in the delivery of key strategic and operational annual objectives.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
• Ability to manage a team, organise and prioritise work with a close attention to detail, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• A proven track record, ideally within a similar of marketing/admissions position within a school.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, Google Analytics and web analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
• A degree in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline and/or 3+ years' experience in a marketing role is also highly desirable.
