Smith & Nephew are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Global marketing organisation.

The position is responsible for key marketing activities within the fast growing Global Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Marketing Group. This is a great opportunity to extend your marketing skills with a market leading global healthcare company.

Key duties will include the development and management of global sales & marketing materials, digital marketing content, customer & sales training programs, product lifecycle programs, new product development, pricing and business models for PICO and RENASYS.

Essential Job Functions

Brand Management
  • Works closely with the global product team in order to drive the successful commercialisation of marketing programs
  • Works closely with regions and markets in order to implement programmes
  • Works closely with operations and markets to manage PLC and optimise device business models, providing analytics
  • Leadership and management of digital marketing channels for health care professionals and health care providers

Market Landscape
  • Anticipates the needs of the market by understanding key dynamics including market channels, reimbursement models, business & pricing models.
  • Builds insights, knowledge and understanding of global, regional and local health care systems and market dynamics

Voice of the Customer
  • Builds insights and knowledge of the customer and market and communicates this internally. Creates and drives successful customer orientated marketing plans.
  • Build insight and knowledge of NPWT channels, reimbursement and business models to enable S&N to improve profitability, competitive advantage through optimal commercial models

Market Support
  • Anticipates and proactively provides support and expertise to the regions and local markets to ensure successful commercial execution of brand strategy and marketing initiatives
  • Is a key Subject Matter Expert for key elements of the brand portfolio
  • Facilitates the resolution across the business of key growth barriers, e.g. demand/supply


Travel: International travel required (25%) as well as frequent travel to other UK sites.

Education: Degree in either a business, medical or science discipline is desirable or post graduate qualification in business or marketing.

Licenses/Certifications: Driving license required for business travel
  • Experience in a related marketing role that includes product commercialisation, with working experience in downstream marketing (and ideally sales too).
  • Previous experience in a multi-regional marketing role is considered desirable.
  • Previous experience of digital marketing would be desirable
