The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 10/11 month temporary contract based in the South West/Corsham. The successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance. Please Note: This assignment sits inside of IR35.
(Only UK nationals can be considered) and have sufficient scheduling experience.

Job Description: The role sits within Interoperability Services and Gateways (ISG) within ISS. ISG have a series of projects to enable UK MOD to communicate with national and international partners. Project schedulers will assist in the successful delivery of ISG Projects.
Good grasp of the principles of effective Risk and Issues Management with some experience of application in one or a number of low complexity change initiative(s). Understanding of PD methodologies, processes, tools and techniques gained in working on change initiatives. This may include, for example: change control, planning and scheduling, business case development (not exhaustive). Strong stakeholder management, communication (oral and written), financial, information management and data analysis skills.

Minimum Requirement:
1) Experience of managing project plans, tracking and report progress using Microsoft Project Online
2) Experience of Risk Management, including risk identification, evaluation and use of the ARM tool including the exploitation of the tool for specific reports and MI
3) Experience in performing schedule risk and impact analysis with a detailed understanding of critical path analysis, schedule integrity and progress reporting

Desirable:
Must have detailed understanding of standard project management principles and techniques (e.g. APM, MSP, Prince2, PMI
Main Duties - Responsibilities Developing; maintaining and documenting appropriate plans and controls for the project/programme in line with the departments Change Lifecycle/Agile delivery methodology Ensuring the appropriate governance disciplines are observed Reviewing project and supplier documentation and plans to highlight any issues that may compromise delivery Facilitating resolution of project issues and mitigation of project risks Maintaining project documentation Making a constructive contribution to project management processes Making effective use of the departments Change Lifecycle; MSP Agile standard processes and other required standards Produce project documentation eg plans Manage dependencies; assumptions and other controls Arrange; prepare materials for; facilitate; chair and document meetings Monitor and report on progress Define project resources including staff; contractors Assure plans; project controls and progress reports Manage QA processes Demonstrate learnings achieved on the project Track record of successful delivery in an equivalent role with equivalent level of responsibility in complex Projects Knowledge of industry standard methods and tools eg MSP Experience of working successfully with staff and representatives from business teams to deliver business change initiatives Experience of working successfully in large; complex organisations

Key Tasks & Deliverables:
• Planning
o Create and maintain programme and project level schedules in Project 2016/ Project online.
o Produce and maintain Integrated Master Schedules, when required.
o Provide advice to PMs on technical aspects of Project 2016, as required.
o Work with PMs to ensure regular Project 2016 Schedule reviews take place, and update Project 2016 Schedules within 2 working days of each review.
o Work with the Dependency Manager to ensure dependencies are captured in Project 2016/Project Online.
o Ensure compliance with ISS planning and scheduling policies, including delivery of schedules to the quality level demanded by the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office.
o Act as the programme and project planning SME.
o Act as the Project 2016 /project Online SME.
o Provide basic knowledge transfer to PMs of planning and Project 2016 scheduling techniques, as required.
• Risk
o Work with PMs to identify and capture risks, and update the Active Risk Manager tool (ARM) accordingly.
o Undertake regular risk reviews with PMs and update ARM within 2 working days of each review.
o Ensure compliance with ISS risk management policies.
o Act as the programme and project risk SME.
Ensure all requests for Management Information drawn from the Corporate planning and risk tools are met in an accurate and timely manner.

Please Note: The lower pay rate advertised in this job description is the highest PAYE daily/hourly pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to. The higher pay rate advertised in this job description is the highest Umbrella Company daily/hourly pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to.
