We're looking for a creative Content Marketing Executive on behalf of our well-established client based in Poole.

Main purpose of role

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing (HOM), the Content Marketing Executive will play a key part in shaping the strategic content marketing for the business; seeing new content initiatives through from inception to completion.

Accountable for the planning, creation and testing of the business' marketing collateral as well as sharing content and ensuring fantastic engagement across referral and social channels. You'll champion this space, driving enthusiasm and confidence. This role is not for the fainthearted and will require excellent written and communication skills.

Focusing on lead acquisition, brand awareness and engagement this role is fantastic for someone who can create engaging and persuasive collateral - both written and designed. As well as the ability to manage social channels effectively with a customer acquisition mindset.

Predominantly this role will be designing, so excellent time-management and high proficiency use of Adobe Creative Cloud products is a must. The remaining time will be split across management of social media channels, blog and email creation as well as other content as and when required.

Main duties
  • Creating marketing collateral which can be used digitally, this may include (but is not limited to): Website copy, Blogs, Infographics, eGuides, Brochures, Graphics and digital advertising banners, Whitepapers and Course documents
  • Work with HOM to develop a content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets and goals
  • Create and publish valuable and engaging content
  • Work closely with the Technical Digital Marketing Manager to brief web content, look & feel changes for both UX and SEO improvements
  • Optimise content according to SEO best practices and keyword collections best practice
  • Use Google Analytics to analyse the performance, test and refine the company's content offering
  • Working with the HOM, create an editorial calendar to ensure on-time delivery of blog and social content
  • Planning effective social strategies - making data-driven decisions to maximise return from these efforts
  • Champion the content space by designing new email templates as well as brochure templates, eGuides and course outline documents.

Person specification

  • At least 3 years' experience in marketing, with ideally 2 years spent hands-on creating engaging content
  • Comfortable in Google Analytics and other analytical platforms
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Able to put the customer at the heart of everything they do
  • Ability to create content that will engage and persuade users
  • Highly proficient using Adobe Creative Cloud - especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (this is a must)
  • Understanding of social and organic channels and how to manipulate them
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Personable team player
  • Desire to learn and develop skills

  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Basic HTML5 and CSS3 skills
  • UX and web design experience
  • Cross media ability, specifically photography
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification
  • Hands on experience with Facebook's ad platform
  • Experience using Google Optimize / other CRO platforms
  • Experience briefing technical web pieces
  • CRM knowledge - Salesforce Pardot or similar
  • Email marketing and marketing automation platform experience (MAP)
