Minimum 12 Month Contract Opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join an International Business based in Warrington. Reporting to the Chief Operating Office (COO) you will be responsible for overseeing all 3rd party spend across the Group including sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. The main purpose of the role is to formulate and drive a consistent approach towards all sourcing, purchasing and tendering activity within the business, ultimately ensuring that "value for money" is maximized and cost savings are generated. The key measurement of success with be the ability to demonstrate monthly/annual cost savings via commercial, negotiation and strategic initiatives. Your role will cover the following;

- Analyse the 3rd party spend cost base and contractual terms across the Group, identifying opportunities to improve value for money both directly and indirectly

- Lead all procurement initiatives i.e. RFI / ITT / contract reviews to ensure that value for money and excellent service levels are maintained and optimized across all categories of expenditure.

- Be the procurement lead on business cases requiring 3rd party investment, specifically technology driven cases

- Lead supplier negotiations recommend supplier selection and implement contracts designed to encourage continual improvement.

- Ensure payment terms are managed and optimized in favour of the business, resulting in improved cash flows and significant reduction in deposits invoices.

- Develop a suitable contract database and protocol for ongoing supplier management including the ongoing creation, rationalization and management of "preferred suppliers", along with a clear contractor overview highlighting key contracted information (e.g contract sum, length of term, monthly/annual increases, break clauses etc)

- Design appropriate reporting and monitoring mechanisms that clearly highlight cost savings achieved by category/supplier and validate supplier performance and concerns.

- Provide active benchmarking data and analysis to ensure the company achieves continued value, creativity, flexibility and sustainability across the entire supply chain.

- Ensure contracts are completed for all relevant agreements and that Service Level Agreements have been agreed with the relevant business owners - this will include Sustainability and Bribery Act compliance as well as clear penalty payments for non-compliance of service delivery.

- Undertake an upfront review and standardisation of the existing terms and conditions and then implement continuous amendments that ensure current sustainability, environmental, Bribery Act and payment-term issues are embedded into the policy.

To be considered, you should have the following skills and experience;

- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) Qualified
- Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for managing significant procurement budgets and delivering improvements to the business
- Experience of developing business cases, in particular Technology investments
- Multi-location Procurement (UK and Overseas exposure)
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Exceptional negotiating skills
- Demonstrable commercial acumen
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong influencing skills at senior levels to influence acceptance of a new way of working
- Project Management skills
- Ability to negotiate at the highest levels with suppliers
- Good IT skills to include wide experience of word documents, Excel Spreadsheets (including pivot tables and charts) and PowerPoint
