Here at Allport Cargo Services we are looking to recruit a full time Ethical Trading Manager to be based at our Head Office in Cowley (some travel is involved nationally and internationally). In return you will receive a competitive salary circa £50,000 per annum plus car allowance plus excellent benefits.

About the Ethical Trading Manager role:

You will take responsibility for the full Company compliance function, to ensure our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters.

With support from the Board and ACS Ethics and Compliance Committee, we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to building strong relationships with at all levels including ACS Managers and third party providers to advise/ communicate on compliance related matters with a particular emphasis on Anti-Bribery, Corruption and Modern Slavery. Act as the Data Protection Liaison Officer for GDPR.

Responsibilities as our Ethical Trading Manager will include:

- To take responsibility for the enforcement and further risk-based development of the ACS corporate strategy, in response to the compliance landscape that ACS faces over future years.

- Responsibility for the enforcement and further risk-based development of ACS compliance strategy, with particular emphasis on anti-bribery & corruption and modern slavery.

- Act as the Data Protection Liaison Officer for GDPR

- Advising ACS Management as to the necessary nature and content of "Tone from the Top" compliance related internal and external communications and where appropriate, during such communications on behalf of ACS Management

- Building relationships with, and promoting strong compliance culture amongst senior management, both at ACS Headquarters and in the regions

- Enhancing general awareness of the importance of effective compliance for ACS as a business in order to ensure the business benefits are understood and accepted by employees at all levels

- Drafting and implementing any periodic changes required to any ACS compliance policy and responding to any concerns or suggestions raised by the ACS Ethics and Compliance Committee

- Liaising, supporting and when necessary, robustly challenging staff responsible for compliance in the regions in order to ensure that ACS compliance policies and procedures are communicated, implemented and enforced effectively

What we're looking for in our Ethical Trading Manager:

- A proven compliance background

- Knowledge of Anti bribery and Corruption, Modern Slavery, Criminal Finance and GDPR legislation

- Experience of investigating compliance matters

- Experience of producing reports

- Experience of producing and delivering training

- Experience or writing and updating policies.

- Desirable membership of the ICA or equivalent bod
