The Entertainer is the largest family-owned toy retailer with over 165 stores in the UK and a rapidly growing online and international business. We have opened over 30 new UK stores in the past two years and we have ambitious plans for further growth. As part of the brands International growth strategy we have recently acquired the Spanish toy retailer Poly which has seen an addition of 55 shops to the retail estate in Spain. Most recently we completed the acquisition of the Early Learning Centre, which will see an addition of 400 shops internationally and 78 stores in the UK. This is an exciting time for the business as we look to integrate these companies and build the brands. We are also developing a number of new and exciting partnerships currently, with Entertainer concessions within Matalan stores one such example. We are now looking for a Graphic Designer to join our marketing head office team based in Little Chalfont, close to Amersham. The Graphic Designer role is to cover a period of MAT leave with a minimum 12 month contract with possible scope for extension.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing and working closely with the retail and online teams the Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design output for The Entertainer and partner brands. The Graphic Designer will produce visually compelling work for our all our retail and online channels. Supporting a small and busy creative team, you will have lots of opportunity to enhance the design, bringing creative concepts to life and producing high quality production ready artwork for print and digital.

Responsibilities - Graphic Designer

- Creating on brand, aesthetically pleasing and functional visual designs that support the business objectives across all our channels and markets.

- Ensuring all graphics, logos and artwork adheres to the appropriate brand guidelines.

- Managing varied workload and different streams of work to meet a range of deadlines, communicating effectively with stakeholders.

- Clearly articulating design rationale and confidently presenting visual design work to all levels of the business.

- Critiquing the marketing assets and suggesting improvements.

- Liaising with design and advertising agencies when the role requires it.

- Ensuring creative is consistent across all assets and channels.

- Creating and amending print, digital and video assets for web, social channels, POS, business stationery, large Format print work, adverts and posters, competition entry forms, power point presentations, video show reels and digital screens

- Adding artwork to template for 3D structures such as FSDUS, window structures and post boxes

- Setting up artwork for print

Required Skills - Graphic Designer

- A minimum of three years experience working in a graphic design role.

- Graphic design experience gained within a toy, retail or agency background is preferred although not essential with the role.

- A thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign packages) is vital.

- Significant working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is desired

- Strong visual & creative skills with an ability to deliver high quality work with great attention to detail.

- Excellent organisational skills and experienced in delivering multiple projects from concept to completion with an ability to generate ideas

- Able to demonstrate a range of successful projects from concept to completion.

- Knowledge of the printing process and setting up artwork for print.

You will have exceptional attention to detail and be comfortable dealing with people both internally and externally at all levels of the companies involved. Skilled in taking briefs and questioning needs you will ensure that the quality of your work produced is of the highest standards. As Graphic Designer you will bring your creative flair and passion to the role and will adopt a customer centric approach to everything you do.
