Do you have a passion for helping support SEN children within the classroom? Do you want to be able to decide when you would like to work? Confident with challenging behaviour (SEMH) ?

We at Pertemps are fortunate enough to be in partnership with a selection of Special Schools, Alternate Provisions, and People Referal Units (PRU's) in Mid Suffolk bordering North Essex. We are looking for competent and passionate individuals that are available for both day to day supply and long term opportunities. This is a focus for September full time as well as ad-hoc.

Whilst it is not essential that you have worked within alternative education previously, you must harbour the mindset for working with students with challenging behaviour and confidence to teach at an individual level.

This school is looking for candidates who are confident with:

- gaining the trust of the young people in your class & building rapport

- working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs

- managing extremely challenging behaviour which can include aggression & violence

- adapting support according to needs of the young person

- looking after children's physical, social and emotional welfare (SEMH)

- creating a stimulating and engaging environment

- keeping records and attending review meetings

Our schools typically accommodate for pupils aged 8-16 with a range of SEN learning difficulties including autism, dyslexia, ADHD.
