Imperial Professionals are pleased to announce we are recruiting for a Proposals Estimator on behalf of a market-leading organisation that provides integrated flow control systems globally.

The successful candidate will work closely with Directors, Production Managers, Field Managers and Business Development Managers to determine and regulate costs of completing projects.

JOB TITLE: Proposals Estimator
LOCATION: Yorkshire
SALARY: Negotiable

  • Receive RFQ's from multiple sources for the provision of spare parts and field service operations, directly from clients, Business Development Managers and initiate inner procedures needed to create cost estimates and outgoing suggestions.
  • Determine the prioritisation of all tenders, assess the types of RFQ / tender, customer and closing date of the tender.
  • Analyse drawing, specifications and other documentation to prepare extensive cost estimates, working in combination with production and field service manager.
  • Use mathematical equations to determine the amount of material and labour needed to produce components and provide the necessary facilities.
  • Thorough understanding of the scope of supply in order to evaluate demands of materials and labour.
  • Prepare, issue, obtain and review proposals and pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the client during the bidding phase on all modifications in scope issues, or clarifications concerning the job.
  • Explaining of any problems with the BDM during the start-up stage concerning what was considered in the estimate, including materials.
  • Provide cost data and development cost estimates to mange production/field services and BDM for modifications in the job during separate building stage.
  • Evaluate budget and project profitability status and objectives with management teams. Seek feedback on corrective measures to continually enhance the identification and precision of cost figures.
  • Develop outgoing sales proposals / quotations in combination with Director, Site Leader and/or BDM.
  • Review incoming contracts to guarantee compliance with the terms and conditions of the proposals.
  • Assemble and retain bid-files including all development data used to prepare estimates.
  • Deliver timely offers for closing tenders.

  • Extensive experience with proposal deliveries and project budgeting.
  • Experience with MS Excel, CRM and ERP systems.
  • Oil and Gas industry background.
