Finance Assistant London Bridge

You must have worked in at least 1 previous Finance role (preferably in a small or medium sized business) and therefore be experienced working in a business office environment. We don't mind whether that's in Payroll, Credit Control, Bookkeeping or even general Finance Administration, but whatever your Finance experience is, we want you to be excited about a career in Finance!

To succeed as Finance Assistant you will:
Be keen to help out: You're great at getting stuck in with everything and you'll switch easily between credit control and issuing invoices to customers, learning to perform bank reconciliations and escalating invoicing or non-payment issues that arise.
Be meticulous:

Attention to detail is vital in this role, so much so that we want you to write the phrase "I'm the Finance Assistant you need!" in your cover email - we need to know you pay attention. Parts of your role will involve recurrent tasks/data entry, so you'll be able to tell us how you stay 100% focused when things become repetitive. You'll be trained on many of our Finance processes (under the capable supervision of our wonderful Finance Manager!), so you'll understand the importance of absolute accuracy.

Love your 'To do' list: It's crucial that you're highly organised and able to switch between tasks easily. We'll want to hear about how you stay organised, in particular the processes/systems/tools that you use and how they benefit task prioritisation.
Have excellent Office Suite skills: Whilst you don't need to be an expert, you'll be comfortable editing straightforward Excel formulas.

Naturally prioritise: You'll talk us through how you decide which tasks you need to work on and when, but you'll equally know how to tell when you have too much on your plate! We'll also want to discuss times you've alerted your Manager to an unmanageable workload before it got too late!

Be naturally curious: We use various tools & software and, while none of which are overly complex, they do mean you need to be a fast learner. It would be interesting to know what the last piece of software or subject was that you taught yourself, whether as part of a previous job or just in your free time, and how you went about that process.

You'll report directly our Finance Manager - she will teach you masses about Finance and she's incredibly supportive, so, will invest a lot of time into training you and ensuring you know everything necessary.
