Rare opportunity for an Electrically biased multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a global production / manufacturing company at their UK facility in Gillingham, Kent.

You will perform general Electrical and Mechanical servicing, repairs, installation and testing, improvement projects and general routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machinery such as, plastic extrusion, printing, plating process, automated warehouse and site facilities.

3 shift system, Monday to Friday plus good benefits. On call every third weekend.

Maintenance Engineer requirements

Electrical qualification
Electrical and Mechanical experience gained from process / manufacturing environment
Happy to work earlies, lates and nights

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, using own initiative and best judgement.
Propose alterations and improvements to all systems, plant, equipment and tools, procurement of parts, spares, instruments, tools etc.
Attend breakdowns and take appropriate action to return plant to production in a timely manner whilst adhering to safe working procedures and maintaining a standard of good engineering practice.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as required.
Ensuring that all Electrical installations adhere to the Safe Working Procedures, Instructions, and legal and best practice requirements.
Keeping clear, complete and appropriate records of all work carried out.
Keeping up to date with technical and process developments throughout the company.
