Compliance Administrator

Position Description:

Our Client is a start up entering into the Automotive all-make fast fit market. Implementing a business franchise network structure across Europe, starting in UK and Germany followed by further western European markets. In total we are looking to roll-out in multiple countries in Europe, with more than a seven hundred centres until end of 2023. Our people are the heart and soul of delivering this strategy and we need a talented GDPR Consultant to join our team for an initial 3 month project. You will already have demonstrable and proven track record in GDPR and data protection implementation and be immediately available.

Skills Required:

Assess the strength of current GDPR implementation

Create and lead the delivery of the GDPR compliance plan to address any gaps

Develop and implement relevant and robust GDPR process maps when identified

Owning any Compliance review actions through to closure

Providing expert advice on GDPR and data protection matters to the wider business timely and consistently, adapting the approach dependent on the audience and type of query

Develop and deliver training to the team covering a variety of data protection topics

Develop easily digestible training modules and communications for the Franchisees

Managing stakeholders effectively often during complex and conflicting queries

Leading Data Protection improvements, ensuring relevant processes, procedures, standards and policies remain compliant and fit for purpose and are adopted across the Group,

Offering ongoing support to the wider team, contributing and attending various working groups as the Data Protection SME

Deliver an ongoing compliance monitoring framework and metrics to ensure that privacy standards are sustained

Experience Required:


Strong demonstrable experience in supporting or delivering GDPR readiness programmes

Excellent understanding and practical application of all relevant Data Protection laws and regulations Demonstrable experience in leading the development, delivery and management of data protection and GDPR policies, procedures and processes

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and gain consensus with partners up to senior management level

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with people at all levels both internal and external to the business

Prepared to reach / integrate across the organisation in order to find the right answers in respect of data definition and data governance

Recognised qualification in Data Protection such as CIPP or equivalent

Understanding of Information Lifecycle Management best practice

Experience Preferred:

Desirable Data protection experience within a Franchisee or Automotive industry

Experience of working to project deadlines ISO: 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor

Knowledge and experience of ISO: 9001

Hours:37.5 pw

Rate:£23.00 - £29.13 per hour limited company rate (Higher rate is AWR In-scope after 13 weeks)
